Rhinestone Pin Wreath

You may have seen this beauty on Pinterest:

Unfortunately, the link goes directly to an image, not the source, so I can't credit the original source.

I decide that I wanted to add one to my glam bedroom. Here is my version:

I used a 12" foam wreath, which I wrapped with white fabric. I collected silver brooches with clear rhinestones from local sources and eBay. Ultimately, I used about 50 pins (brooch / brooches), plus a roll of rhinestone ribbon for the outer rim.

After wrapping the wreath with white fabric, I glued the pins to the form with hot glue, adding smaller pins over the top of large pins to give more depth. I also used the smaller pins for the edges, and concentrated the larger pins in the front center of the wreath.

The final step was to add a ribbon to the top. As mine is sitting on the mantel, I didn't need to use a ribbon to hang it, but it would be quite easy to do so.

Sneak Peek of my Christmas Decor . . .

I thought I'd share some photos of my home while I'm in the midst of decorating. It usually takes me the better part of a week to get it all put together!

My trees are still "in progress". As you can see, I've gone for a teal and gold theme for them this year. I have a narrow area in my living room for the trees, so I am using two narrow trees, rather than one larger tree.

I have used a lot of peacock themed ornaments.

I found this fun crown tree topper at Hobby Lobby for half price. I added the tule to it to make it a little more stable on the tree.

The crown at the top of this tree is actually a garden stake!

I'm still working on the mantle, but I love these gold mercury glass trees I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

I added Christmas bulbs to my birdhouses in the living room.

I added this wreath, as well . . . a Pinterest project I made at a Pinterest party:

I'm adding some holiday bling to my chandeliers. This is the chandelier above my kitchen table.

My bedroom is also getting attention. I've just started working on the fireplace. I already have a lot of mercury glass in the room, so it goes with the silver theme.

I looked all over for white garland for my mantle, but I couldn't find anything I really liked. I ended up twisting a basic white strand with two different strings of clear / frosted bead garland, and adding in some ornaments.

I love these large lavender ornaments atop candlesticks.

This chandelier got some silver garland and a long ornament hanging down the center.

I added silver and mercury glass bulbs to this vase in the bedroom.

Here is a simple cone project (DIY to come soon) covered with rhinestones.

That's it, so far . . . more to come!
