Painted Furniture

I'm currently working on a new painted furniture project, so I was going back through some old photos of projects I have done, and I thought I would share some.

This is a piece that I have always used in my "craft room". I purchased the cabinet at an unfinished furniture outlet. The design is freehand painted.

This table and chair set I found at a thrift store in the Bay Area (Northern California) when I lived there. I didn't think to photograph the "before" but this is the table after I applied primer.

Here are a couple of shots of the "after". Again, the design is mostly freehand. I think I used Paintability stamps for the ivy leaves.

This dresser had been painted several times over the years. It housed a TV in my living room. (It, along with the rest of this furniture, is in storage in Maine.)

This was one of the first furniture painting projects I ever did. I still have the round table. It belonged to my grandmother. The ivy was Paintability stamps.

This is a fun doll furniture set that I did for publication in Paintworks magazine. I still have the set. I hope to do some newborn photography with it someday!

This is a children's table and chair set that I painted for a charity auction. It was painted freehand. A simple design, but I always loved it!

Here are a couple of "close up" shots for you.

I'll be posting photos of my latest project - my new kitchen table - which is actually an old table that my sister and I have swapped back and forth between each other for years! It is getting a whole new look!

I am partying at the following sites:

  1. I am so glad I found your site. I have a great desire to express my creativity by painting furniture, but don't have the basics.

I adore lovely comments! Thank you for taking time to write to me! You ROCK! I'm sorry for the word verification, but I get way too many spam comments without it!
